CHARLES VASOLL ELECTED TO THE APTA HALL OF FAME
On Saturday, March 5, 2005, at the Fox Meadow Club in Scarsdale, New York, Charles 'Chuck' Vasoll was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the American Platform Tennis Association.

Election to the Hall of Fame is the ultimate honor in platform tennis. It is awarded to individuals who have distinguished themselves as players and/or made substantial contributions to the growth, development and administration of the game. The selection committee is comprised of APTA Board Members, Past APTA Presidents and Hall of Fame Members.

Since the sport's inception in 1928, only 56 individuals have been elected to the Hall of Fame. Chuck is the first Long Islander to be so honored. He has been a tireless worker and supporter of platform tennis for thirty years.

Chuck was President of the APTA from 1988 through 1992. He was President of LIPTA in 1996 and 1997. In 2002, Chuck was the General Chairman of the week-long APTA National Championships hosted by LIPTA. Chuck is currently the Treasurer of LIPTA. He plays on the Cherry Valley Club team and has been nationally ranked in Men's Senior Doubles.
